Benton County Schools will be closing at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, September 20 in observation of the funeral of School Board member Mr. Robert Thompson.

The Mt. Caramel #333 Masonic Lodge in Holladay, TN made a generous donation of $800 to Holladay School. The Mt. Caramel Lodge consists of 43 members. Secretary Larry Cooper brought the idea to the group. Members discussed the idea of donating to Holladay School because supporting the school ties to the Lodge's main goal of supporting widows, orphans, and community.
The Mt. Caramel #333 Masonic Lodge decided to be a sponsor for the Holladay School.
District 5 Chairman Kevin Stepp, Worshipful Master Bill Lemons, and Secretary Larry Cooper presented the $800 check to Holladay School Principal Amy Davis on September 13, 2023. Mrs. Amy is very appreciative of the support from the neighboring Masonic Lodge. Plans are to utilize the donation to encourage students to become better readers.
One member of the #333 Masonic Lodge has also volunteered to build some bookshelves for the school library. Cooper, Lemons, and Stepp stated that the Lodge wants to be involved in the Holladay community and could not think of a better way than supporting the education of students!
