Boys’ Basketball tryouts for upcoming 7th and 8th Graders will be on THURSDAY, MARCH 27th, from 4:45 to 6:45 at CAMDEN JUNIOR HIGH. Doors will open at 4:40. Please be here to pick your child up at 6:40.
Boys’ Basketball tryouts for upcoming 6th Graders will be on FRIDAY, MARCH 28th, at CAMDEN JUNIOR HIGH from 3:15 to 4:30. Please be here to pick your child up at 4:25.
Any current 5th-7th grade boy is eligible to tryout.
These will be CLOSED tryouts. Parents/Guardians will need to drop their athlete off at the junior high and pick them up at the end of the tryout. Parents/Guardians are not permitted to stay in the building during the tryout.
Please wear appropriate athletic clothing and shoes to participate fully in the tryout.

Camden bus # 20 will be running one and one half hours late today, Monday, March 3, 2025, in the afternoon.

Due to the tragic passing of one of our school bus drivers, Camden Buses 12 and 25 will be 30 minutes late during the afternoons of Monday, February 24 through Wednesday, February 26, 2025. During this same time, Camden Bus 2's second load will be 30 minutes early.

Benton County Schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday, February 20 and 21, 2025. Stay warm and be safe!


Benton County Schools to Hold 8th Grade Orientation
Camden Central High School will begin orientation for the incoming freshmen classes from Big Sandy, Camden Junior High, and Holladay. Parents/guardians will meet in the gym on Tuesday, March 4, at 6:00 p.m.
These are extremely important meetings! A lot of important information concerning the 9th-grade year will be discussed. School counselors will be on hand to distribute the Programs of Study booklet and to schedule classes for the following school year. Various clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities will be there for demonstrations and explanations. Attendance is a necessary step to a successful high school career. See you there!

This afternoon, January 28, at Camden Junior High School a .22 caliber cartridge was found and turned in at Camden Junior High School.
There have been no reports of a weapon or any reason to believe a weapon is on campus, but we wanted to make sure parents and the community knew the circumstances.
We appreciate the Camden Police Department’s support, and school safety will always be one of our top priorities.

Camden Junior High School was on a soft lockdown for approximately 10 minutes due to a health-related issue. The lockdown is now over, and all students and staff are safe.

The Central Office emergency contact is 731.468.4963. Again, this number is only used during Internet outages. Please add this to the numbers that were posted earlier.

A fiber line has been cut, causing the district’s Internet to go out. This impacts our telephone system. Here are the emergency contact numbers that are in use during these events.

The 4-H Public Speaking Contest, scheduled for Thursday, January 16, 2025, has been moved to Thursday, January 23. The event will be held at Briarwood Elementary School, with the doors opening at 5:30.
