Benton County Schools to Hold 9th Grade Orientation
Camden Central High School is excited to welcome incoming freshmen from Big Sandy, Camden Junior High, and Holladay to our annual 9th Grade Orientation! Join us in the gym on Thursday, March 19, at 5:00 p.m. for an evening designed for both students and their families.
Don’t miss this important opportunity! You’ll get a first look at what your 9th-grade year has in store, meet school counselors, and receive the Programs of Study booklet. Counselors will be available to help you select your classes for next year. Plus, explore a showcase of clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities—discover ways to get involved and make your high school experience amazing. Attending orientation is the first step toward a successful and memorable high school journey. We can’t wait to see you there!
We're excited to share that, thanks to the Safe Schools Grant, our school has purchased a new metal detector to help keep everyone safe. The metal detector will be in use during the Basketball Regional Tournament games on Friday, February 27, and Saturday, February 28. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to create a welcoming and secure environment for all students, staff, and guests.
Due to a bus driver shortage, buses #55 & #20 will run 1.5 hrs late tomorrow morning and afternoon. Also, the routes of bus #2(2nd Load) & #12 will run 1.5 hrs late tomorrow afternoon. If you are needing to make alternate transportation arrangements, you may call 731-584-6111
While schools are open, bus drivers do have discretion when driving their routes tomorrow.

During the January 2026 meeting, the School Board made a change to the calendar to close schools on May 5, thanks to the primary elections. You'll find a copy of the updated calendar attached, and more copies are available on the app and website for your convenience.
Due to the thick fog across the county, schools will open two hours later today. If your child's bus usually arrives at 7, it will now come at 9. Please stay safe, as there have already been accidents caused by the fog.
