The Holladay School Drama Club/Choir (under the direction of Angel Green and Judy Evans) got the night started by singing the 'Alma Mater' and 'America the Beautiful'.
There was no shortage of Tornado pride at T. Hudson Memorial Gym in Holladay, TN, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, as Holladay fans filled the stands for the annual “Meet the Tornadoes” Hoopsters basketball game! The evening brought together players, cheerleaders, families, alumni, and fans for a fun-filled night celebrating the start of another exciting basketball season.
Fans had the opportunity to meet the 2026-27 girls’ and boys’ basketball teams, coached by Hunter Baker, along with this year’s Holladay Tornadoes cheerleaders.
The Lady Tornadoes were first to take the court, facing off against alumni and parents in four quarters of basketball fun. From tip-off until the final buzzer, the gym was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of Tornado spirit. The Lady Tornadoes battled their way to a victory, giving their fans plenty to cheer about!
At halftime, the Tornadoes cheerleaders, coached by Macy Furr, took the floor and entertained the crowd with an energetic performance.
Then it was time for the Tornadoes boys to take on the alumni. The boys’ game brought a little extra intensity as the competition heated up. Dads especially enjoyed the chance to lace up their shoes and go head-to-head with their sons! When the final whistle sounded, the Tornadoes claimed the victory to cap off a great night of basketball.
A silent auction was also held throughout the evening, with proceeds benefiting the basketball teams, cheerleaders, and FCA.
“Meet the Tornadoes” was more than just a basketball game—it was a celebration of the people who make Holladay athletics special. The gym was filled with smiles, laughter, competition, and the unmistakable sound of Tornado pride!
A huge THANK YOU goes out to everyone who came out to support the Holladay Tornadoes, participated in the games, cheered from the stands, and contributed to the silent auction. Holladay is proud of its Tornadoes, and there is plenty of excitement ahead for the 2026-27 season!
