Mrs. Donna Moore serves as the Coordinated School Health Coordinator, a position she has held for 10 years, prior to this she was a school nurse for approx. 16 years for the Benton County School System.

 

The Coordinated School Health office is located behind Briarwood School at 169 Briarwood Street. Tennessee Coordinated School Health connects physical, emotional, and social health with education through eight inter-related components. The coordinated approach improves student's health and their capacity to learn through the support of families, communities, and schools working together. Coordinated School Health works with many partners to address school health. We value the importance of education, combined with fitness and health to allow our students to excel and reach their full potential!

Mrs. Karen Hudson serves as the Family and Community Involvement Coordinator, a position she has held for over 15 years. Her office is located at 169 Briarwood Street inside Briarwood School.  The office is an inviting place where families and community can gather information about the schools & activities.   We strive to keep you informed & involved!
 
We believe that family engagement means the participation of parents and family members in regular two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities, including ensuring:

  • That parents play an integral role in assisting their child’s learning.
  • That parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s education at school
  • That parents are full partners in their child’s education and are included, as appropriate, in decision-making and on advisory committees to assist in the education of their child.
